With a love of nature and gardening I began keeping bees at my Minnesota home in 2010. As I gained experience in beekeeping, I became aware of the many attributes beeswax possessed and the many things that can be made with it. The antibacterial and antimicrobial properties of beeswax, being water repellent and readily available to me as a beekeeper made it the perfect ingredient for making an item that could replace many single use plastics being used in my house. So, with a little experimentation, a few failures and what seemed like melted wax covering every surface of my house Hive and Honey Beeswax Wraps were perfected. Within a few years of making wraps and baggies for myself and for family and friends I was encouraged to start selling online. Since 2019 I have been blessed to be working everyday handcrafting beeswax wraps for individuals and independent stores. It brings me much joy knowing that every wrap and bag sold can keep thousands of single use plastics out of landfills and from polluting our waterways and oceans. I appreciate the support of my women veteran owned business.
